THE LUNSFORD PROGRAM IS FOCUSED ON FOUR KEY ELEMENTS
- HIGH-IMPACT LEARNING EXPERIENCES
High-impact experiences include but are not limited to internships, study abroad, and research with faculty. These experiences will take place once students have been in the program for 1-2 years. The experience must relate directly to the student's major and career plans.
- FACULTY MENTORSHIP
Lunsford Scholars will receive enhanced mentorship related to UK’s four pillars of student success: belonging and engagement; student health and wellness; academic success; and financial stability.
- SEMINAR SERIES
The Lunsford Program offers a seminar series covering a range of topics including:- Writing a Personal Statement
- Education Abroad: How to Prepare for Your LSP Experience
- Getting Started With Internships and Careers
- ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM
The symposium will take place in the Spring semester and will include a keynote speaker and messages from current and past Lunsford Scholars.
